Halo MK VI Update!

My undersuit came in and I was so excited I had to try it on. It is just a plain black strectchy catsuit that I am adding vinyl detailing onto!

I have done a LOT of detailing with my wood burning tool, and have sealed all the cracks in the arm pieces (I use Dap bathroom seal for those who are interested, you can't sand it, and need to wipe the excess off with a wet piece of paper towel BEFORE it drys).

I have tried making the thighs twice already and had to scrape it. It is the hardest part for me to size apparently....

Halo MK VI

 So, if you haven't noticed, I have two cosplays on the go. Essentially, when I get tired/bored/upset with one, I switch over to the second one. At the moment, I am working on my Halo MK VI armor done using EVA foam. If you have seen them before, check out 405th.com! They are an amazing dedicated group of guys and gals who are dedicated to various forms of armour, but mostly revolving around the Halo universe.

So, without further hesitation (this is my first time building armour), here is my progress so far!

Codpiece. Black part is plasti-dipped. And yes, those are real screws..can't believe it took me that long to realize I could use real screws...

Codpiece/Stomach part of the suit. I used my sewing machine to do the diamond pattern.

Khajiit Test

Yup..I’ve decided to go as a Khajiit! Which means I am trying to kill myself to get that fixed…the hood didn’t fit with the ears so I had to add ear slits (not in the game, but hey, I’m pretty sure it would be very uncomfortable/look horrible if ear slits did not exist. That or Khajiit have very bendy ears).
So, I have finished both ears, added earrings, and done a tail.

Also, my cat prosthetic from NorthFur FX came in! They are a Canadian company that specialize in animal prosthetic. This on is the “Wild Cat/Large Cat” foam prosthetic. I also have black and white costume makeup that I ordered from NorthFur FX.

So stoked for Anime North 2015!

Khajiit cosplay makeup draw on test. I wasn’t sure what type of pattern I wanted originally, so I decided to play around with it. I think I like this pattern. What do you guys think? Let me know!
PS. Yea I drew in some fangs…I have those ordered as well :)

Khajiit!

Yea, so I decided that I wanted to be a Khajiit...which means completely revamping my Nightingale cosplay. I need to: - Make ears. - Make a tail. - Figure out how I am going to do the face - Figure out how to do the hood with the ears. Yup. I'm trying to kill myself.

As I have finally finished the mask, minus the weathering, I wanted to try it on! I wanted to go with a skull like nose, and designed the pattern using a game reference. The fabric is stretchy and black, most likely a cotton/spandex material and the details are black vinyl. I painted the back of the black vinyl with black fabric paint for the "nose" piece as it was white and you could see it. The mask ties up at the back, which is hidden by the wig. The mask also goes down my neck and will be put under the corset/neck piece The hood is missing the embellishment, so ignore the lack of details!

UPDATE: Catsuit and General Update!

So I contacted the seller on Ebay and they said to send them my measurements. Which I have done! However, when I asked about sending back the other suit, how to do it and if I was paying they never answered it. They just ignored the questions and said they would gladly do the exchange...so we will see how that goes!

I bought snow leopard print faux fur, but have taken a break from this cosplay. This usually happens. I work really hard for a month and then need a month break before it interests me again! Rest assured I will be finishing this one as my mom would kill me and I have spent a ton of money (about $200).

Disappointed...

I mentioned in my last post that I bought "liquid latex" catsuit.
The quality is great and the colour is great...but it fits small. It is too tight on my legs AND it is too short...I'm 5'5" and weigh 135 lbs. I went by what they said for sizing chart and even order a size bigger because Asian sizes are small (even though this was done for American sizing).

The crotch has a diamond of fabric, so I am going to have to remove it and put in a BIGGER diamond of fabric. I don't want to pay return shipping and know this is doable for me. Still going to email the seller and state my disappointment though.....

UPDATE: I just checked there profile and they will take returns, refund your money and pay for return shipping within 14 days...so let's see what happens.
